Friends & Family Charitable Trust
Purpose
The purpose of the Friends and Family Charitable Trust is to provide a means to honor the memory of a family member or a friend. The Trust is also a way to honor a birthday, anniversary, birth of a child or other reason for celebration or commemoration.
This honor or memorial will benefit the Muehl Public Library and the entire community by providing funds that would not otherwise be available to the Library.
All gifts received will be placed into the trust fund benefiting the Muehl Public Library. Your contribution will help create a lifetime of gifts to the library and to the community.
Reasons for Giving
*Celebration of an addition to the family *Honor a loved one *Commemorate a special birthday *In memory of a friend or family member (especially someone who loved LIBRARIES!) *Graduation or commencement *Anniversary *Gift from a school class honoring a favorite teacher

Establishment & Governance
The Trust was created by Mary Ellen Veitch Dahlke as a gesture of her love for and appreciation of the many contributions made by her extended family to the Seymour community. This Trust was also established so that other members of the community will be able to honor their friends and families as well.
A Board of Trustees governs the Friends and Family Charitable Trust. This Board is independent of the Muehl Public Library Board of Trustees.

Acquistion late 2008
The Trust purchased a cabinet to house local history and genealogy materials. Lois Zibell is responsible for organizing this. The purpose of the bulletin board will be a place to post local history questions which may be solved by patrons! Note: The Hamburger Charlie bobblehead is displayed in this tight area! We are using every inch of space!

Most recent project that was funded by the Trust:
As of Dec. 2007, we are utilizing our new DVD case for children's DVDs to avoid "shrinkage" of our collection. Thanks to the Trust for enabling us to be good stewards of our precious materials by purchasing this DVD case for us! (chocolate brown two drawer case below)
What project is in the works? The Trust will meet in March, 2008 to discuss our next project which will involve making our foyer more inviting! Stay tuned...
